A family-run club built for athletes — not politics. We develop competitive, confident players who love the game and are prepared for the next level.
Tired of big club politics, expensive travel, and your daughter being treated like a dollar sign? Viking Roots was built for exactly that reason.
Our coaches bring Division I competitive experience and a genuine passion for developing junior athletes into their best selves.
Viking Roots is launching open summer clinics for 12u–15u athletes this summer. Skills-focused, coach-led, and built for serious players who want to get better.

Viking Roots is built by families, for families. Players and parents are stakeholders — not just members.
Two founders. Two collegiate athletes. One mission — to build the best junior volleyball program in North Texas.
Abby Fuchs is the Founder, Head Coach, and Director of Programming for Viking Roots Volleyball Club. A standout outside hitter at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Abby earned AVCA Honorable Mention All-American recognition and was a two-time All-Conference selection.
She brings elite technical expertise, a player-first philosophy, and the kind of passion that turns good athletes into great ones. 30+ of her athletes have gone on to play at the Division I level.
Ashlan Cunningham is a Founder and Assistant Coach at Viking Roots Volleyball Club. A four-year letter winner at Florida Atlantic University, Ashlan competed at the NCAA Division I level in beach volleyball in Conference USA.
A DFW native from Colleyville, TX, Ashlan brings a championship mentality and a deep understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest level. She is passionate about developing the next generation of players in her own backyard.
